Boys & Girls Club Philanthropy Award

2012 Philanthropy Award

Davenport’s has been extremely generous to the Boys & Girls Club for 10 years. As a major sponsor of our annual Beer & Wine Fundraiser for the past 7 years they have provided foods and desserts for as many as 1,000 guests at our 2012. Extremely supportive of the club. They provide volunteers, food and support to many of our events. They have been an exceptional neighbor to the organization and help us to provide the necessary programs and activities for our members.

Letter from WPRO/WPRI-TV

This “Thank You” is long overdue! In March of 2010 you were so kind to meet with Rush Workman, Paul Darling and Charlie Jefferds, former employees of WPRO and WPRI-TV, to make arrangements for our second Tuesday of each month luncheon to be held at your East Providence Davenport’s on Tuesday, April 13, 2010.

We, the “Lunch Bunch” have anjoyed two and a half years of good food, great atmosphere, privacy and exceptional wait staff which we hope will continue. Speaking of wait staff, we miss Joe who was one of many who made us feel at home and he was always outgoing and making sure everyone was taken care of. We do miss him but happy to see he is climbing the Davenport ladder. Each time Joe just happens to be managing when we are there, he always comes to our room to personally say hello, welcome us as true friends, and make sure that we are being properly accommodated. As for our new Commander-in-chief, this being said with great endearment, Carol has certainly embraced us with all kindness and caring. You can tell she loves her job!

Again, our sincere thanks to you and your staff for allowing us the privilege of lunching with you!
